The Final Proposal.

The whole scope.

A.M is a information based interactive installation using candles instead of the mouse or touch capabilities. Abbreviated Messages (A.M) refers to the netspeak, chat messages such as lol, omg, asap, imo and many more. The Installation is fun and interactive for information and used as a way to celebrate the use of A.M, It does not decide or criticize or promote the use of A.M but rather a celebration of the presence of it.

The Set-Up

From the beginning there will be a black-screen or empty screen without any animations or visuals, a software called Zone trigger will be synced with a web camera to detect movement or rather color change on the location of the lighter. When an audience reaches for the lighter, then webcam detects the motion through zone trigger, then It calls up the .exe (project) which is flash based, then the flash application maximizes full screen and Intro animates in until the main page where the user can make decisive changes.

The main page will comprise of time based animation and with buttons placed seamlessly in such a way that the candles are positioned in sync with them. There will be six candles, each representing different page or visuals and different content (digitally). The application allows only a single candle to be lit, after the whole transition on to the candle 1 page, then the user is allowed to use the lit candle to act as mouse. Of course the is limitation because the Wiimote calibration will allow for how extreme the user can use the lit candle as a mouse. The Wiimote will be put on top of the projected visuals on the wall, at a 45 degrees angle to pick up the infrared emitted by one of the candles.
